Enautic's Latest Innovation: WaveFlyer Rogue Electric Hydrofoil Jet SkiEnautic Unveils New WaveFlyer Rogue Jet Ski, Redefining Personal Watercraft. Credit: newatlas.com

Enautic, an Australian company, burst onto the scene with its groundbreaking electric hydrofoil jet ski, touted as the first of its kind in the world. However, the company has since shifted its focus towards perfecting the design of its two-person mini-boat. Despite this, it seems that Enautic has not entirely abandoned its original vision as it recently unveiled the fully revamped WaveFlyer Rogue jet ski. This new iteration combines features from the WaveFlyer Volaré mini-boat to create a single-seat foiler that promises to redefine the concept of a personal watercraft.

It is important to note that the WaveFlyer Rogue is still in the development stage and has not yet been tested in the water. The renderings and theoretical figures released by Enautic may seem impressive, but the top speed of 25 mph (40 km/h) is somewhat underwhelming when compared to its bulkier and less sleek counterpart, the Valo, which boasts a top speed of 40 mph (64 km/h). However, the Valo's speed has already been scaled back once, so the final production model may have a lower top speed. Additionally, the Rogue's price tag is significantly higher than the Valo's, leaving room for Enautic to offer a more affordable option.

The WaveFlyer Rogue features Enautic's patented W-foil layout, which provides both stability and agility on the water. The hydrofoil system, consisting of an anhedral foil and two side beams with electric drive pods, lifts off at a speed of 9.2 mph (15 km/h) and reaches a height of 3.3 feet (1 m). A redundant sensor-loaded flight control system ensures a safe and smooth ride. The vertical side struts can be raised and lowered at the touch of a button, allowing the foil system to be lifted out of the way for beaching or navigating shallow waters.

Enautic has not yet released many details about the WaveFlyer Rogue, but it is clear that the company is focused on creating a watercraft that offers a balance of speed and stability. Hopefully, we will soon see prototype testing footage and learn more about this exciting new addition to the electric hydrofoil market. In the meantime, you can check out a video of the WaveFlyer Volaré towing a Flamingo foil boarder, which is sure to impress.
