Flite, an Australian company, has revealed its complete line of eFoil boards for the year 2024. The range includes the Ultra L2, a sleek and lightweight member of the pro-focused Ultra family. Designed by renowned designer Marc Newson, the Ultra L2 boasts of carbon components and a folding prop from Mercury Marine.

The original Ultra was touted as the most extreme eFoil in the world when it was first introduced in 2021. However, the competition in this niche market is quite limited. Flite made efforts to reduce the weight of last year's L model, but it is still quite heavy compared to the new L2.

The L2 is almost half the weight of Flite's first eFoil introduced in 2018, weighing in at only 18.3 kg (just over 40 lb). This includes the company's 806-Wh Nano battery, which has been placed over the mast in a smaller box to provide up to 45 minutes of eFoiling per charge.

According to Flite, the L2's narrower shape and the battery's placement over the mast allows for ultimate maneuverability and a more responsive experience. The board measures 53 x 11 cm (21 x 4.4 in) and comes with carbon eFoil wings inspired by aerodynamics in motorsports. The carbon fiber mast, also designed by Marc Newson, adds to the overall sleek look of the board.

Flite has collaborated with fellow Brunswick family member, Mercury Marine, to develop a folding prop that automatically adjusts and streamlines for surfing waves without using power. The company has also introduced a new wireless hand controller with a large color display, designed by Marc Newson, that includes a new wave tracking feature. Users can also access their ride history through a companion app.

The Ultra L2 Wave is a complete package, including all necessary equipment to get out on the water. It is currently listed as "coming soon" with a starting price of US$13,995. For those who find this too expensive, Flite recently introduced the Flite Air at a significantly lower price point. Check out the video below for a full look at the 2024 Flite range.
